Clean Oven

Clean oven- Sprinkle a combination of salt and cinnamon on any spillovers that occur while baking. Not only does it prevent the burnt smokey smell from filling the house, but you should also be able to use a spatula to lift the whole piece after the oven cools.

Increasing Vineger

Never ending supply of vinegar- Divide vinegar into two parts and keep separately in different bottles. Add boiled water and leave for a week. You will have twice the quantity original strength vinegar.

Milk Stain

Better way to clean milk glasses- Use cold water to rinse the glasses. Hot water makes milk “stick” to the glass and should not be used. 

Washing Dishes

Better way to wash dishes- Add a tablespoon of baking soda to your soapy water. It softens your hands while cutting through grease.

Pots and Pans

Shine pots and pans- While pots are still warm, add a little vinegar, sprinkle salt, rub with a sponge, and rinse. Clean Grater

Clean your grater- Cleaning your grater after shredding cheese? Try grating a raw potato after the cheese. The potato clears the gummy cheese out of the holes.

New Utensils

Pamper your new utensils- Cut an onion into half. Rub it on the insides of your new utensil. Heat a little and add some oil. The utensils will not burn easily.

Ants Away

Ants away from sugar- Put two to three cloves in the container or jar of sugar to keep the ants at bay.

Lime Deposits

Remove lime deposits from tea kettle- Fill it with equal parts of vinegar and water. Bring to a boil and allow to stand overnight.

Flowing Salt

Free flowing salt- Add a few rice grains in the salt shaker to prevent it from becoming lumpy in humid climate.
